Community Action offers the nationally renowned Head Start and Early Head Start for children 2 weeks through 5 years old. We provide nutritious meals, utilize the effective “Conscious Discipline” model, and the program is free for qualified families.

Community Action Head Start conducts a Community Assessment every 5 years. This assessment helps us understand the community we serve and guides our decision making. Steps to get on our Waitlist & Enrollment

Complete the Basic Intake below.
Receive a call from our Admin Assistant regarding waitlist status.
Receive a call from a Family Service Worker upon selection to go over enrollment/eligibility.
If selected, scheduled enrollment will take place with family service worker and the following documentation will be required.

Proof of eligibility
- SSI,TANF/SNAP,
- Homeless verification,
- Foster placement agreement
- Proof of income and previous taxes

Child’s birth certificate, Medical (insurance) card, Well Child assessment, dental assessment, up to date immunizations, custody or legal documents, and list of family/friends authorized to pick up child with their government names, address, birthdays and phone number.
