Community Action offers the nationally renowned Head Start and Early Head Start for children 2 weeks through 5 years old. We provide nutritious meals, utilize the effective “Conscious Discipline” model, and the program is free for qualified families.

Head Start Community Needs Assessment

Community Action Head Start conducts a Community Assessment every 5 years. This assessment helps us understand the community we serve and guides our decision making. The data collected from the assessment informs strategic planning, goal setting, and the design of new programs. Click one of the links below to complete a community assessment survey!

Steps to get on our Waitlist & Enrollment

  1. Complete the Basic Intake below.

  2. Receive a call from our Admin Assistant regarding waitlist status.

  3. Receive a call from a Family Service Worker upon selection to go over enrollment/eligibility. 

  4. If selected, scheduled enrollment will take place with family service worker and the following documentation will be required.

  • Proof of eligibility

    • SSI,TANF/SNAP,

    • Homeless verification,

    • Foster placement agreement

    • Proof of income and previous taxes

  • Child’s birth certificate, Medical (insurance) card, Well Child assessment, dental assessment, up to date immunizations, custody or legal documents, and list of family/friends authorized to pick up child with their government names, address, birthdays and phone number.
